Belonging At Work After the Elections

Are you curious about how your organization’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) commitments will be impacted given the results of the 2018 Midterm Elections? Do you want to hear from some of today's most inspiring DEI thoughts leaders as they deconstruct the election results and their impact on the workplace? Would you like concrete strategies to ensure the success of your organization’s inclusion commitments?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, consider watching a recording of a live panel discussion Rhodes Perry moderated on World Kindness Day. World Kindness Day is celebrated every November 13 where we promote good deeds and pledge acts of kindness to make the world a better place to live. In this spirit, Rhodes hosted this discussion focusing on how we can cultivate workplace cultures of belonging after the 2018 midterm elections.

DEI THOUGHT LEADERS FEATURED IN BELONGING AT WORK INCLUDING KYLAR BROADUS, JENNIFER BROWN, JOEL BROWN, DRE DOMINGUE, BEN DUNCAN, AND ASHLEY BRUNDAGE.

The conversation was geared for leaders, change agents, visionaries, movers, and shakers just like you. Participants had the opportunity to learn from brilliant panelists including Jennifer Brown, President & CEO of Jennifer Brown Consulting, and Kylar Broadus, Esq. and Global Human Rights Advocate - both of whom are featured in Rhodes’ new book, Belonging At Work, which launched on the same day as this discussion. Some of the strategies featured in the book were shared during this discussion.

The panel’s primary goal was focused on unpacking how politics influence our ability to create equitable and inclusive organizations, and also how the workplace can influence politics. Panelists had the opportunity to examine the November 6, 2018 election results, and they highlighted some of the historic wins. They also shared how these results may have an impact on the future of work. They even offered a few ways participants could lead on workplace belonging, and how to navigate political conversations in the workplace.

The full panel discussion is included in this recording.
