Happy National Coming Out Day!

Today marks the 28th Annual National Coming Out Day, a time of year where those of us LGBTQ folks who can, come out with the goal of raising awareness of our communities and our movement to secure equity, justice, and inclusion. As an out bisexual and transgender man, I am committed to self-disclose my sexual orientation and gender identity whenever possible to open more hearts and minds, and empower more allies to stand up and support the LGBTQ movement.

In honor of today’s celebration, I’m offering an early-bird webinar registration discount for executive, HR, and diversity professionals interested in gaining skills, receiving mentorship, and being held accountable to develop a clear LGBTQ diversity and inclusion vision. During the live event, participants have the opportunity to share their ideas, challenges, and solutions when it comes to crafting a clear LGBTQ diversity & inclusion vision intended to create more welcoming workplaces. The webinar special also includes a pre-work activity, and an optional coaching call following the training.

The live webinar will be hosted on on Thursday, December 1 at 2:00 pm Eastern Time/11:00 am Pacific Time, and the early-bird webinar registration discount rate of $97 will be honored for all who register before November 1. You can secure your discount rate, and save $50 by registering here. The webinar fee will increase to $147 after Monday, October 31.

For those unable to participate in the live webinar, here are a few ways you can benefit from several free resources:

  • Craft Your LGBTQ D&I Vision. Earlier this year, I shared a blog post detailing five strategies on how to fine tune your LGBTQ diversity & inclusion vision, and transform it into an actionable plan. If you can’t attend the December 1 webinar, read through this blog post, and take a stab at this exercise. These actions will help point you in the right direction. Should you have questions, consider scheduling a time to connect with me.

  • View Last Month’s Q&A Webinar. On September 22, I offered a free Q&A webinar all about engaging LGBTQ employees. The webinar was created to support executive, HR, and diversity professionals. Around 30 participants had the opportunity to discuss strategies on how to recruit, retain, and develop top LGBTQ talent. You can watch the recording here. Please share broadly with interested colleagues. If you have time to view the presentation, share your feedback here to help me improve future webinars.

  • Schedule a 3-in-30 Consultation. I’ve offered 3-in-30 consultations over the past year, and they are an excellent way to stay connected with old and new colleagues alike. During these 30 minute calls, you will have the opportunity to discuss the three leadership questions of your choosing that keep you awake at night. If you’re interested, please be sure to sign-up for a call today, as spaces continue to fill-up quickly.

For those planning to register for this dynamic webinar, I look forward to receiving any questions you have in advance, reviewing your pre-work activity, and learning more about ways my consultancy can help you more effectively welcome and value your LGBTQ employees. Should you have trouble registering for the webinar, or if you would like to add additional opinions, thoughts, or feedback related to the pre-work exercise, please schedule a time to speak with me.
